Cal re-enters AP Top 10, #11 in Coaches

Posted by | October 8, 2006 at 1:53 pm | In Ranks/Predictions | 5 Comments

Cal’s impressive performance yesterday has moved the team to #10 in the Associated Press poll and #11 in the Coaches poll.

Tennessee also had a big win over then-#10 Georgia, and they have moved up to #8/9 in the polls. This is great for the Bears’ strength of schedule (factored into BCS standings) and makes the season-opening loss look better for Cal.

  3. Cal is very lucky they play in the pac 10. There is no way they should be in the top 10. If they played in the SEC, they would be a .500 ball club.

  4. Welcome Back to the Top 10…

Cal rises to 10 in the AP poll and 11 in the USA Today poll with their win over Oregon…….

Not likely. If Cal played in the SEC, they’d schedule three cupcakes for the OOC schedule, then feast on Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and the two Mississippi schools for seven guaranteed wins.
